Poland Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every donation directly supports families affected by Poland anomaly.

Why we are building this foundation

When a family receives a Poland anomaly diagnosis, they encounter a condition that affects roughly 1 in 20,000 to 30,000 people — and almost no dedicated resources. No US nonprofit. No central directory of specialists. No community built around this specific condition. No conference where families can meet, learn, and hear from physicians who treat it every day.

Poland Foundation exists to change that. We are the first US nonprofit dedicated solely to Poland anomaly, and we are building everything from scratch — because nothing existed before.

What your support will fund

Family support

Direct financial assistance to families navigating care — travel costs to reach distant specialists, out-of-pocket expenses that insurance doesn't cover, and connections to resources that can help.

Camp scholarships for affected kids

Funding scholarships for children and teens with Poland anomaly to attend camps — both general adaptive camps and limb-difference programs like NubAbility Athletics — where they can thrive alongside kids who understand what they are navigating.

Annual Poland anomaly conference

Building toward an annual gathering where families meet each other, hear from physicians and researchers who specialize in Poland anomaly, and leave with real knowledge, real connections, and less isolation. Nothing like this currently exists in the United States.

Research support

Supporting research into Poland anomaly — including the natural history of the condition, long-term outcomes after reconstruction, psychological impact across the lifespan, and the mechanisms that cause it. More research means better care for every person diagnosed in the future.

Awareness and earlier diagnosis

Funding physician education so that the average 14-year diagnosis delay gets shorter. Every pediatrician, obstetrician, and delivery team that learns to recognize Poland anomaly at birth is a win for every family that comes after.

Specialist directory and educational resources

Maintaining the only comprehensive directory of Poland anomaly specialists in the United States, and keeping this website free, accurate, and up to date. The information here belongs to the community — not behind a paywall.
